Attorney Greg Wiley
Managing Shareholder Greg Wiley is a passionate advocate for firm clients. In nearly 25 years of experience working as an attorney in Minnesota, he has earned an outstanding reputation for the highest quality of legal representation representing government entities, local businesses, and individuals in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and all other parts of the State of Minnesota. Greg also serves as General Counsel to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office, providing advice on civil rights, contracts, and data practices matters. Previously, Greg represented corporate management while at the international law firm Littler Mendelson.
Greg loves practicing law because it involves so many different skills and provides a unique opportunity to use them for his diverse client base every day. Each case requires a new problem-solving approach, drawing on his experience in research, preparing persuasive arguments, clear and concise writing, oral advocacy, and investigative technique. He always advises clients with a practical, cost-benefit approach to each potential course of action.

Greg was awarded the national Pacesetter Award for innovation in labor law, and the Award of Excellence in Civil Law by the Public Law Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association for demonstrating extraordinary leadership, initiative, and innovation in the performance of his duties in representing his clients. He is often recognized as a Rising Star by Minnesota Lawyer in the area of labor and employment law. He is admitted to practice law in state courts in Minnesota and Illinois and in numerous federal courts.
Outside of work, Greg’s interests are as diverse as his client base. He enjoys performing at and attending concerts, some marginal karaoke, following University of Minnesota sports with his boys (Go Gophers!), and biking on all of the beautiful trails in the Twin Cities and other parts of the State of Minnesota. Since 2017, he has volunteered his time pro bono to make law enforcement and citizen interactions safer as the Executive Director and board member of the Institute for Lawful, Safe and Effective Policing (www.ilsep.org), an organization that he founded.

Senior Associate Ben Reber
Ben Reber is a Senior Associate at the Wiley Law Office, PC. Ben attended the Hamline University School of Law, where Ben grew an affinity for labor and employment law, and helped found the Hamline Employment and Labor Law Student Association – a six-member organization that closed shop shortly after he graduated.
Ben has over 12 years of experience in public employee labor relations, as he began his career as a law clerk with Law Enforcement Labor Services, Inc., Minnesota’s largest law enforcement labor union. After law school, Ben transitioned to the management side as a Labor Relations Specialist for the City of St. Paul. There, he worked with a 98% unionized workforce and was on the butt-end of frequent angry calls from union representatives regarding all manner of employment and labor issues.
In 2018, Ben left government life and started with the Wiley Law Office, where he specializes in advising both public and private employers on labor and employment issues, including contract negotiations and management, Fair Labor Standards, workplace accommodations, and employee misconduct investigations. Ben has established a reputation as an effective management advocate with the ability to get along with parties on both sides of the table. He also has the ability to take a line from a variety of the mid-90s to 2000s comedies and apply them to any situation.
Outside of work, Ben is heavily involved in youth extra-curricular activities in his hometown of Forest Lake, where he practices the art of herding cats while coaching youth basketball and baseball, as well as being active in his local Scout troop. Ben recently joined the board of the Minnesota Public Employer Labor Relations Association, where he works with management representatives across the state in furthering their knowledge in all public labor and employment issues.
